Day - 02

After Breakfast drive about 40 Kms (3 to 4 hours) en route visit Sindhu Ghat, Shey, Thiksey and Stok Palace Museum drive via beautiful landscaped villages and natural surroundings. Over night at The Grand Dragon Ladakh.

Sindhu Ghat is situated at 10 km upstream the Indus River from Leh near the Shey , it is a peaceful river bank The Sindhu river originates near Mansarover lake and Mt. Kailash in Tibet enters in to India and flows through the Leh and surrounding valley.

Shey is a town in Ladakh that has the old summer Palace of the kings of Ladakh. It is located 15 km. from Leh towards Hemis. The palace was built more than 555 years ago by Lhachen Palgyigon, the king of Ladakh. The palace has the largest golden Buddha statue in Ladakh.

Thikse Monastery (also transliterated from Ladakhi as Tikse, Tiksey or Thiksey) (thiksok Nambar tak pe ling) is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Yellow Hat (Gelugpa) sect, located on top of a hill, approximately 19 kilometres east of Leh in Ladakh, India. It is noted for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet and is the largest gompa in central Ladakh.

Stok Monastery or Stok Gompa or Palace is a Buddhist monastery in Leh district, Ladakh, northern India, 15 kilometres south of Leh. It was founded by Lama Lhawang Lotus in the 14th Century and has a notable library including all 108 volumes of the Kangjur. A ritual dance-mask festival is held annually. It was used for some time as a residence by the Ladakhi royalty.

Day -04

After Breakfast drive back to Leh en route visit Confluence of Zanskar - Indus River, Magnetic hill, Pather Sahib, Hall of fame overnight at The Grand Dragon Ladakh. Day - 05

Full day Trip, after early Breakfast Leave for Nubra Valley 125kms (5 to 6 hrs drive). Cross the world highest motorable road Khardongla Pass at (18,380.feet) Enter the beautiful valley famously known for the ancient Caravan route to Central Asia and to places like Kashgar and Yarkand, the road was also known as the treaty road. Nubra literally means the valley of flowers. The double humps Bacterium Camel ride in the sand dune. Overnight at Camp/Hotel.

Day - 6

After Breakfast drive back to Leh via sumor gompa overnight at The Grand Dragon Ladakh

Full day trip, after early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake drive 154 Kms (7 to 8 hours) throughChangla Pass (5300 Meter, 17,350.feet) second highest motorable road in the world. Visit the beautiful Pangong Lake forms a part of the border area between India and China. This Large scenic Lake at an altitude of 13,930 feet above the sea level has a brilliant color variation including deep blue, turquoise etc. Over night in Camp.

Day - 08

After Breakfast drive back to Leh.

Khardung La (Khardung Pass, la means pass in Tibetan) is a high mountain pass located in Ladakh region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The local pronunciation is "Khardong La" or "Khardzong La," but, as with most names in Ladakh, the Romanized spelling varies.

The pass on the Ladakh Range lies north of Leh and is the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys. The Siachen Glacier lies partway up the latter valley. Built in 1976, it was opened to motor vehicles in 1988 and has since seen many automobile, motorbike and mountain biking expeditions. Maintained by the Border Roads Organisation, the pass is strategically important to India as it is used to carry supplies to the Siachen Glacier.

Visit the beautiful Pangong Lake forms a part of the border area between India and China. Spituk Monastery, also better as Spituk Gompa or Pethup Gompa, is a Buddhist monastery in Leh district, Ladakh, northern India, 8 kilometres from Leh. It was founded by Od-de, the elder brother of Lha Lama Changchub Od in the 11th Century. Founded as a Red Hat institution, the monastery was taken over by the Yellow Hat sect in the 15th century.The monastery contains 100 monks and a giant statue of Kali (unveiled during the annual Spitk festival).

Hemis monastery is one of the most famous and largest of all monasteries in Ladakh, 45 Kms south of Leh founded in 17th century belongs to the Drukpa order. The monastery was founded by Stagsang Raschegn who was invited to Ladakh by king Singee Namgyal. The king offered him religious estates and attended him as his principal guru.Hemis Tsechu (festival) assemble annually from 9th to 11th day of the 5th Tibetan month. The Gompa has well preserved Thankas and copper gilt statue of the lord Buddha, various stupas made of gold and silver and many auspicious objects. The largest thanka in Ladakh over 12 Meter. Nubra Valley (Tibetan : ལྡུམ་ར; Wylie : ldum ra; English : Nubra) is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital of Nubra is about 150 km north from Leh town, the capital of Ladakh district, India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra (the valley of flowers). The Shyok River meets the Nubra or Siachan River to form a large valley that separates the Ladakh and Karakoram Ranges. The Shyok river is a tributary of the Indus river. The average altitude of the valley is about 10,000 feet. 3048 meter above the sea level. The common way to access this valley is to travel over the Khardung La pass from Leh town. Non-locals require an Inner Line Permit (obtainable in DC office, Leh town) to enter Nubra.

After Breakfast drive about 40 Kms (3 to 4 hours) en route visit Sindhu Ghat, Shey, Thiksey and Stok Palace Museum drive via beautiful landscaped villages and natural surroundings. Overnight at The Grand Dragon Ladakh.

Sindhu Ghat is situated at 10 km upstream the Indus River from Leh near the Shey , it is a peaceful river bank The Sindhu river originates near Mansarover lake and Mt. Kailash in Tibet enters in to India and flows through the Leh and surrounding valley.

Shey is a town in Ladakh that has the old summer Palace of the kings of Ladakh. It is located 15 km. from Leh towards Hemis. The palace was built more than 555 years ago by Lhachen Palgyigon, the king of Ladakh. The palace has the largest golden Buddha statue in Ladakh.

Thikse Monastery (also transliterated from Ladakhi as Tikse, Tiksey or Thiksey) (thiksok Nambar tak pe ling) is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Yellow Hat (Gelugpa) sect, located on top of a hill, approximately 19 kilometres east of Leh in Ladakh, India. It is noted for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet and is the largest gompa in central Ladakh.

Stok Monastery or Stok Gompa or Palace is a Buddhist monastery in Leh district, Ladakh, northern India, 15 kilometres south of Leh. It was founded by Lama Lhawang Lotus in the 14th Century and has a notable library including all 108 volumes of the Kangjur. A ritual dance-mask festival is held annually. It was used for some time as a residence by the Ladakhi royalty.

Day - 03

Full day visit, after early Breakfast drive Leh to Lamayuru 128 Kms (6 to 7 hours). Enjoy the Scenic beauty of mesmerizing Moon Landscapes and Lamayuru Monastery (one of the oldest Monastery in Ladakh) Drive Back towards Leh Overnight at Uley(Resort or Camp).

Day -04

After Breakfast drive back to Leh en route visit Confluence of Zanskar - Indus River, Magnetic hill, Pather Sahib, Hall of fame over night in The Grand Dragon Ladakh.

At Nimo Zanskar River joins Indus river which ultimately called Indus. In this picture the river coming from the left is Indus, which is very clear, and forms the fertile Indus valley (Leh, Saspol, Basgo, Alchi etc) and the one on the right is the muddy Zanskar, which water is not very much useful for the cultivation purpose.

Magnetic Hill is a gravity hill located near Leh in Ladakh, India. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference

Day -5

Full day Trip, after early Breakfast Leave for Nubra Valley 125kms (5 to 6 hrs drive). Cross the world highest motorable road Khardongla Pass at (18,380.feet) Enter the beautiful valley famously known for the ancient Caravan route to Central Asia and to places like Kashgar and Yarkand, the road was also known as the treaty road. Nubra literally means the valley of flowers. The double humps Bacterium Camel ride in the sand dune. Overnight at Camp/Hotel.

Day -06

After Breakfast drive back to Leh via sumor gompa overnight at The Grand Dragon Ladakh.

Day -07

Full day trip, after early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake drive 154 Kms (7 to 8 hours) throughChangla Pass (5300 Meter, 17,350.feet) second highest motorable road in the world. Visit the beautiful Pangong Lake forms a part of the border area between India and China. This Large scenic Lake at an altitude of 13,930 feet above the sea level has a brilliant color variation including deep blue, turquoise etc. Over night in Camp.

Day -08

After Breakfast drive back to Leh.

Shanti Stupa was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura . The Shanti Stupa holds the relics of the Buddha at its base, enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lama himself. The stupa has become a tourist attraction not only due to its religious significance but also due to its location which provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
